Choiceful.com Taps into Online Home-Improvement Market with its Website Launch

London: Choiceful.com today announced the launch of its new website offering everything for home, office, business & trade including kitchen, garden, DIY, leisure & personal care products available at trade prices. The new online retailer offers thousands of products all shipped free when customers spend over £45.

As an introductory offer, Choiceful.com customers will receive a free gift when they spend over £25 in the store, gifts will range from chocolate treats to kitchen gadgets and 5-in-1 multi-tools.

Choiceful.com will offer low prices on thousands of items at launch, from bread makers to kitchen gadgets and pliers to lawnmowers and bird tables. With hundreds of top brands on offer, the launch will answer the growing demand for online home-improvement shopping.

The shear number of products stocked will automatically make Choiceful.com an overnight Goliath comparable to well-known high-street retailers. The mission at Choiceful.com is a simple one and that’s to offer customers great selection, competitive pricing, and free shipping as well as one convenient destination, easy navigation, a single shopping cart, and candid search options.

Choiceful.com is promising to fight off high-street competition, its many assets include its international partner sites based across the USA, Asia and throughout Europe all of whom serve to ensure purchasing costs are kept to a minimum and that leading technologies are employed to enhance the online shopping experience of its customers. Despite its huge credentials there are equally large ambitions behind the figureheads at Choiceful.com. “We are a very young company by any standards, however we have been observing and studying the market for over 5-years and are weary of the pitfalls, we strongly feel that there is huge potential for growth” said David Williams Chief Financial Officer at Choiceful.com.

"When we asked customers what they wanted from an online home-improvement store, the answer was clear: 'great brands and products, at competitive prices, shipped free for next day delivery within the UK.' We think we've met that challenge," said Alan Holmes Vice President of Choiceful.com.

Choiceful.com were contacted via their web site on 16 October 2009 regarding a product "First Cutlery Set Windsor" Catalogue No: 81778
http://www.choiceful.com/choiceful-id-110041-Grunwerg-First-Cutlery-Set-Windsor.html
I was informed that this product was the "New" pattern and was NOT informed that there was NO stock of this item.

I placed an order for 7 of the above item and to make a carriage paid order I added items that matched this "Cutlery Set" so I would have a full set. Choiceful.coms web site stated that the "First Cutlery Set Windsor" was in stock and I duly placed an order on 16 October 2009. Note this communication is being penned on 23 October and their web site still states that this item in stock when in fact they are not.

I added a proviso to the order that I was to be contacted prior to the order being despatched to ensure that someone would be in. I was never contacted by Choiceful.com and contrary to their web site "When you place an order, our stock inventory will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items. We will send you both shipping and delivery date estimates in the order confirmation e-mail and in the order summary in Your Account."

NO delivery dates were sent whatsoever. An email was sent by them at Sunday, October 18, 2009 8:05 PM which was received at 12.05 the same day. It was noted that the cutlery set was not listed but on back order and an email was sent to cancel the order and refund my credit card in full.

Choiceful.com ignored my request and sent what goods they stated they had in stock contrary to my request. Fish Knives and Forks were not supplied as per order but Table Knives and Forks instead. An email was sent to their office and all parties concerned but no response was forthcoming.

Choiceful.com deliberately misleads its customers into making an order which cannot be supplied and then supplies goods that are not ordered. This is not a company I will ever deal with again and I certainly wished I had looked on the internet to see what other customers of theirs had experienced.

There may be some very happy customers but customers that have been misled by Choiceful.com are left mistrusting other online suppliers. This is, from my own experience, a cowboy outfit that should be put out to pasture. I was able to get a refund on my credit card of items not supplied and I now have further work to do to get a refund on items incorrectly supplied.

Barclays my card provider was not at all helpful with very shoddy customer service and despite being assured that they would call me back on at least 2 occasions they never did. Whilst our credit card suppliers ignore customer complaints about shoddy and shabby suppliers the bad eggs will continue at our expense. If the credit card companies refused to deal with these bad companies until they acted in an honest and professional manner then we the customer would get an exemplary service.

The fact that the credit card companies make so much money out of these dodgy traders they will ignore customers who as usual are "Piggies in the Middle" and a few of us try to get a better service but to no avail.
